OTN to appear at a premier ICT innovation event in Flanders

Thanks to the efforts of Czech and Belgian partners the project will have its own demo booth at the 2016 edition of iMinds conference dedicated to digital transformation. The event is scheduled for late April and will allow OTN to showcase its results to thousands of visitors from academia, tech sector as well as public institutions and private organisations. OTN First White Paper Published!

The consortium has recently published its first White Paper that focuses on data harmonisation within the framework of OTN project. The paper showcases OTN’s innovative approach to the implementation of technical solutions like OTN City Hubs and is structured around the following use cases: (1) metadata harmonisation through the CKAN and Micka metadata management tools, and the upcoming GeoDCAT-AP metadata profile, (2) the DataTank data management system and (3) the harmonised data model for road network data.

Brussels Technical Meeting Moves the Project Forward

On 11-13 January 2016 OTN project partners met their counterparts from SDI4Apps project and WWW Consortium (W3C) to take stock of joint activities and agree on the action points for the months ahead. On day one participants discussed OTN’s first White Paper and how to improve its weight as a policy advice document. They also talked about OTN’s cooperation with OGC and W3C and the integration of Open Transport Map into the OTN Hub.
