OTN Presents at IST Africa 2016
ST Africa 2016 conference, 11-13th May, Durban, South Africa.
Over 200 presentations from more than 36 countries were presented at this international conference. There were thematic areas such as: International Cooperation, ICT4D, eGovernment, eHealth, Technology-enhanced Learning, eAgriculture, e-Inclusion, Digital Content, Future Internet & IoT, eServices, Cyber Security, Mobile Applications eInfrastructure and Societal Implications of Technology.
Contribution Open Transport Map - routable OpenStreetMap from authors K. Jedlička, P. Hájek, V.Čada J. Martolos, J. Šťastný, D. Beran, F. Kolovský, D. Kozhukh covered Open Transport Map as one of the results from OpenTransportNet project. This paper was presented in section of eServices.
The presentation of this contribution has opened a lively discussion, where experts from the audience asked questions about topics such as how to create a mathematical model for predicting traffic volumes, its relevance and the incorporation of ambiguity in the behavior of individuals in such a model. They were also asked questions regarding the mobilization of this support tool for navigation and its use for short and long term predictions of traffic intensity on the base of rapidly developing road network.
