If you live, work or are planning to make a road trip to the Parisian suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux this Christmas, you have probably thought about things like traffic, parking locations, cycle hire spots and residential areas with parking facilities, among others. If you have then our latest Issy Mobility Map is exactly what you need. It shows all the information you need to know to move around effortlessly in the area.
You can judge how smart and lively one city is by just looking at its transportation. This map shows the lines of the rail network, buses and lines under construction (Grand Paris Express - green line) in Issy and Ile-de-France. You can see all connections available in the area from train/subway lines to the bus and underground lines. Train, metro and bus stops are also displayed. On 9-10 September 2016 OTN was showcased to local residents at the Issy-based Digital Space event. Matteo Satta from Issy Media was there to man the stand and answer passers-by's questions the project. While at the stand Matteo also invited all those who showed interest to test the Hub and 'This Way,' play with available tools, check out available map compositions, create their own maps and leave feedback. You can also become an OTN tester and help us improve our solution.
On Tuesday 14 June OTN participated in #HackonslesBouchons conference organised by OTN partner Issy Media. The event kicked off with a round of presentations on (Big) Data and its application in traffic management. Among the presenters was Aneta Rapacz who introduced the project in front of a packed audience and explained OTN’s main tools and apps. OTN also had a stand that was manned throughout the event.
On 17-19 November OTN partners from Issy-les-Moulineaux were in Barcelona for Smart City Expo World Congress, a worldwide event that attracts many different stakeholders, from companies to municipalities, keen to explore and present the latest innovative solutions for contemporary cities. At the World Congress Issy could be found in the French Pavilion where a dozen of other French cities involved in Smart City projects were present.
